Everton prospect Lewis Warrington enjoying his loan with Tranmere Rovers

Everton prospect Lewis Warrington is enjoying his loan with Tranmere Rovers.

The central midfielder has taken to the task like a duck to water and despite some disappointing results for Rovers, he has quickly established himself in the starting XI and already become a fan favourite.

“It's absolutely massive. League Two games - they're tougher," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"They test you on the ball but also off it. In under 23s, you get the ball and you have some time on it. No one really puts a foot in and they just let you do what you want really. You have the ball, we have the ball.

“But League Two is just more full on. I've learnt more in my last six games than I have in my whole career really. It really is tough, especially away from home. You can see why some teams struggle on the road. It's tough."
