Everton are preparing a January bid for Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady.
The Daily Mail says Roberto Martinez is set make a third transfer swoop inside a year for Aiden McGeady after the Republic of Ireland winger was dramatically put up for sale on Friday by Spartak Moscow.
McGeady's Russian adventure appears to be over following a dressing room bust-up with Spartak coach Valery Karpin.
According to reports in Russia, the winger was involved in 'a war of words' with Karpin after last weekend's 1-0 loss to their city rivals CSKA.
Martinez has been thwarted twice in his efforts to prise McGeady from Spartak, first as Wigan manager last January, and again in August following his appointment at Everton.
