Everton assistant Steve Rounds has revealed that the club is still looking to bring new players in before the end of the week.
The Toffees have done some good business this summer bringing in the likes of Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas whilst completing the permanent return transfer of Steven Pienaar.
After as good start to the Premier League campaign, Rounds says that manager David Moyes and chairman Bill Kenwright could still make one or two more signings before the transfer window closes on Friday.
"We would very much like to, yes," he said at a press conference ahead of Wednesday's Capital One League Cup game against Leyton Orient.
"We are a couple short and a bit thin on the ground. That is the job for the manager and the chairman.
"It's not easy at this stage and if we do, great. If we don't then we are still very happy with the squad we have got and the team we are putting out."
