New Everton assistant boss Steve Round is looking forward to being involved in his first game on the weekend against FC Sion.

Round told evertonTV: "It is a big game and they are a very good team.

"It is very early for us; it's our first game in our first week. You normally don't have a game until the end of the second week. We will still be up there and competitive though."

Despite only having been with Everton for a week, Round is fully involved in the pre-season coaching sessions and admits there's a different focus to his previous sides.

"It's very different from club to club," he explained.

"Each club I have been at has very different pre-seasons. Some are very scientific, some are more old-school , it all depends on the culture and tradition."
