Everton midfielder Sigurdsson: Chelsea better in every aspect of game

Everton must learn from their 4-0 thrashing at Chelsea, says Gylfi Sigurdsson.

While the Iceland international accepted it was important for Everton to put their performance behind them, he knows it shouldn't stop them learning from the many mistakes they made in their defeat in west London.

Sigurdsson told Sky Sports: "I think overall the performance wasn't good enough.

"Chelsea were better in every aspect of the game and fully deserved the three points. I think it was way too easy for Chelsea to get on the ball and move it.

"Fair play to them it did really well and they caused us a lot of problems.

"But I'm sure we'll look at the game as we come back into training, look at the mistakes we made and rectify them for the next game.

"It's very important [to put game behind you] but I think we've got to make sure we look at the mistakes we made and learn from them.

"It would be too easy to forget about it.

"We need to go into the next game and make sure we learn from these mistakes and improve as a team."
