Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin is desperate to return from injury as quickly as possible.

Gbamin is facing eight weeks on the sidelines.

He said: "Having the connection with the supporters is very important, hearing the fans like they are at Goodison makes us feel like we can go to war.

"It is great to have that support as a player, both when you are winning or having a difficult time. It drives you on to keep going and do even better.

"There is very high quality in this team and, with the fans behind us like they are, we can do great things this year. I will do everything I can to help us do that."
