Everton midfielder Drenthe mixed emotions after QPR draw

Everton midfielder Royston Drenthe admitted he had mixed emotions after their draw at QPR.

The Dutch midfielder fired the Blues ahead on 31 minutes with a rasping left-footed strike from 25 yards.

But five minutes later he conceded the free kick from which Bobby Zamora netted the hosts' equaliser.

"I think my goal was a good thing," Drenthe told evertonfc.com. "But I feel a bit guilty so I have regular feelings.

"It was a good beginning for us in the match, but I think their number seven, (Adel) Taarabt, had a really good performance.

"That's where I got the yellow card. If I let him walk there, you never know what's going to happen. But from that free kick, they scored to make it 1-1.

"I thought I could get the ball with my right foot but he is so quick and he got the better of me this time. I think with the way he was playing, they deserved that goal."
