The race for St Etienne fullback Faouzi Ghoulam is heating up.
The Daily Express says Everton are ready to rival Manchester United for the left-back.
Ghoulam has been monitored by Manchester United as they contemplate trying to replace Patrice Evra, although Everton are also keeping tabs on the Algerian international in case Leighton Baines is lured to Old Trafford in January.
