Everton have made a bid for Besiktas defender Demagoj Vida.

Fanatik says Everton have made a €13.2m (£11.5m) offer for the defender after watching him impress for Croatia during their World Cup campaign.

Vida partnered Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren at the back on Thursday as Croatia impressively put Argentina to the sword with a 3-0 win.

Vida only joined Besiktas on a free transfer in January, but it is being reported that they are ready to cash in on the centre-back's World Cup exploits.

The Blues are in the hunt for a defender, and their search has only intensifies after Ramiro Funes Mori's exit this week.
