Everton legend Joe Royle believes Roberto Martinez is capable of bringing silverware to the club.

Royle is hopeful that the Spaniard can repeat this feat with Everton and add another trophy to the Club's cabinet after a 19-year wait.

"Roberto comes into the job with a trophy under his arm, which is nice. It's an exciting time," explained Royle on evertontv.

"I'm constantly referred to as Everton's last manager to win a trophy and I'm fed up with it. Please Roberto, take it away from me - I'd love you to win a trophy."
