Everton legend Peter Reid says they should've signed Fernando Llorente ahead of Swansea City.
The Toffees made Olivier Giroud their No 1 striker option after agreeing to sell Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, but they ultimately ended without a replacement after the Arsenal forward decided to stay in north London.
“I think last January, it was common knowledge that Lukaku was going," Reid told the Liverpool Echo. “So I found it strange that they didn't get a recognised striker in, as hard as it might have been.
“They should have gone and got one in. If Giroud wouldn't come, Fernando Llorente was available and he'd have done for me. Llorente was gettable, so they are out there."
