Everton are eyeing AC Milan midfielder Andrea Bertolacci.

TMW says negotiations intensified on Thursday, with Everton ready to offer €6m for Bertolacci.

An agreement is close, with the player set to sign a five-year contract worth €2m-a-season plus bonuses.

Much was expected of the 27-year-old when he came up through the Roma academy and hit form during the loan at Genoa, earning a €20m transfer to Milan in the summer of 2015.

He also spent time with Genoa last season.
