Everton fitness coach: Toffees 'couldn't hope for a better situation' after swift transfer swoop

Everton fitness coach Jan Kluitenberg believes that the club getting their transfer business done early will help get everyone up to the desired fitness levels ahead of the start of the season.

The Tofeees have certainly wasted no time whatsoever in the transfer market so far by acquiring the services of Davy Klaassen, Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Sandro Ramirez very early and the new signings should report back to Everton in time ahead of their pre-season tour to Tanzania.

Fitness coach Jan Kluitenberg is delighted at the fact that Everton have completed their business so quickly and believes that all of the new players being available for pre-season is the ideal situation to get the entire squad physically ready for the upcoming campaign.

He told Evertontv: "From Thursday we'll have most of the players back, including some of our new players, and you couldn't wish for a better situation than that as a fitness coach.

"The first week we'll stay here at Finch Farm and we'll start up in the way we like to start - it's not very physical but we do a lot with the ball.

"After that we have a couple of days in Tanzania and we will play a game and have a training session out there, followed by a good week of work in Holland."
