Everton are eyeing a January raid for Watford striker Troy Deeney.
The People says the 28-year-old striker only signed a new five-year deal at Vicarage Road in the summer as the Hornets moved to fend off interest from champions Leicester .
And the man who was driving the Foxes' pursuit of Deeney — Steve Walsh — hasn't been put off and, following his move to Everton as their director of football, he has reignited his interest in the player.
Leicester made an offer of £25million to sign Deeney in the summer.
However, Watford stood firm and knocked it back before rewarding their skipper and star man with an improved contract.
