Everton defender Godfrey: I love being back

Everton manager Frank Lampard has been handed a major boost in the injury department.

The Toffees, who are battling relegation in the Premier League, will be able to count on young center-back Ben Godfrey.

The defender has been absent since injuring his leg during the opening weekend of the Premier League season against Chelsea.

Godfrey trained earlier last week with his teammates at Finch Farm, and then gave an interview, per the Liverpool Echo.

Godfrey said: “Good. I am loving being back. It felt like a long time but I am ready to get going again now.

“The physios have done a good job on me, to be fair. They have worked really hard and I have to thank them, they have put a lot of hours into me.

"I am feeling back strong and fit, and as I say, just ready to go. I appreciate being fit now after so long out."
