Everton defender Sylvain Distin has offered his advice for football longevity.
Distin, 35, will have played more matches in English football than any other Frenchman after his 400th appearance against Norwich today.
He said: "In general you can expect just one thing in London - that you will go off the rails with birds and booze.
"The nightlife is far crazier than in France, people drink far more and things are hotter in every respect.
"I have always played for provincial clubs and that has been a good thing. London is a cosmopolitan city, where a player can easily lose himself.
"When a French player comes to England he needs to take care not to fall into these traps. It is often his education and the people around him that can make a difference."
