Everton defender Sylvain Distin isn't confident about a late run to France's World Cup.
He told evertonTV: "I am almost 32 and I have never been called to the national side yet," he reflected. "If it comes then it would be great but I am happy with my career. I am working hard at Everton so if I deserve it, it will come."
For now though, Distin is focusing on the weekend's visit of Wolves and knows the Premier League new boys will be tough opponents.
"They have just been promoted so they will want to do well," he explained. "We have been on a great run recently so Wolves have extra motivation as they will want to be the ones to end it.
"They may be lower in the table but form guides and statistics mean nothing once you're out on the pitch."
