The Mirror says Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino wants to sign his fellow Argentine on loan to bolster their hopes of avoiding relegation.

Former Benfica star Gaitan is looking to quit the Spanish capital to save his place at the World Cup in the summer after falling out of favour this season.
