Everton hope Leighton Baines will be back for the festive programme after he suffered a foot injury in their draw with Liverpool.
Baines is facing a short spell on the sidelines after fracturing a toe in his right foot during the Merseyside derby.
The England international was forced to come off early in the second half of Everton's 3-3 draw with Liverpool, having sustained the injury in an earlier collision with Jordan Henderson.
Baines left Goodison Park on crutches and went for X-rays but, fortunately for the player and Everton boss Roberto Martinez, there was no metatarsal damage and he will be back well in time in for the Christmas period.
