Everton boss Silva plays down injury concerns for Mina

Everton boss Marco Silva has played down injury concerns for Yerry Mina.

Mina, however, lasted only until the 41st minute in the Carabao Cup tie before needing to be replaced by Michael Keane.

Silva says Mina reported pain in his knee but when assessing the defender after the 2-0 win, the 25-year-old reported improvements in his situation.

"It's too early to say to you about that," Silva said, when asked if Mina was out of the next match.

"Before the game he was completely ok. When we changed close to half-time he was in pain in that moment. When I spoke to him at the end of the game did was walking and did not feel pain no more. So it is a little strange.

"It is nothing special he has, even the injury was nothing really special. He had some pain disturbing him but we hope he will be ok in the next day or two."
