Everton boss David Moyes admits he's still to make his mind up on how best to use Nikica Jelavic.

The former Rangers striker's progress with Everton has stalled due to injury.

"Nikica trained with us for a few days before he went away and I was happy for him to go and play for Croatia," said Moyes.

"I'm looking forward to (playing him) because we've not seen him but Denis (Stracqualursi) has made it easy for me.

"It's not as big a panic (to get him fit) and that means we can introduce Jelavic slowly and at the right times. We've not been able to play him so we've got no idea yet what he can offer."
