Everton manager Dave Moyes is pleased with the appointment of Robert Elstone as new chief executive.

"Obviously in recent months we have become a bit closer because of him taking over as acting CEO and I'm pleased for Robert," he told evertonfc.com.

"He's been around, he understands the workings of the Club and I look forward to having a good relationship with him and continuing to improve Everton."
