Everton boss Moyes waiting for new contract talks

Everton boss David Moyes says he is waiting for the chance to hold detailed talks about a new contract with Toffees chairman Bill Kenwright.

Moyes' present deal expires in 2009, but reports suggest the Goodison Park boss will be offered a fresh five-year term.

"I had a quick minute with Bill to talk about it," said Moyes in the

News of the World

. "Our relationship is good and when the moment is right we'll see.

"Recently we've had no downtime to talk because we've been so busy.

"You only have to look around the country and you see those clubs which have had continuity also have the most strength.

"We have not won anything or achieved anything yet, but you can see we've become better over the years.

"There's a big future here at Everton, whether it's the new training ground, new stadium or the better team we have."
