Everton boss Dave Moyes has slammed Dan Gosling's selection for England U19's European Championship campaign.
"I don't think going away with England was any benefit to him," Moyes said. "I think he would have been better off with us. But he is getting better in the games and he is having a taste of what it is like.
"But he is doing well and maybe he wouldn't have had this experience if we had everyone fit and well."
Gosling also told the Liverpool Echo: "This is a great club to be at and I'm loving every minute, really.
"The step up has been massive. No disrespect to Plymouth Argyle as I learned my trade there; the people there helped me along tremendously.
"But the tempo of the Premier League is just completely different.
"You see it every day in training. It is just so much faster, the players are technically better and you can see why the Premier League is the best in the world with the quality that is around you all the time."
