Everton boss David Moyes has concerns over his players competing in the London Olympics.
Everton midfield duo Jack Rodwell and Ross Barkley would both be eligible to play for the team for the tournament which will take place in July and August next year.
"I think it will be difficult because of the length of the season they have to play in England," Moyes told evertontv.
"Players will have to come back from their holidays a lot earlier to prepare, in some cases yes, but it would be difficult to ask boys who have played a full season and then been at the European Championships to then prepare for the Olympics. It won't be straightforward and there will be some players who will (play in both tournaments) but there will be others who don't."
