Everton boss David Moyes is confident Jo will be fit for the start of the season after the striker limped off in Tuesday night's friendly defeat at Blackpool. The Brazilian scored the equaliser before injuring his ankle and leaving Bloomfield Road on crutches.

"I think he's just rolled his ankle. I don't think it's too bad," Moyes said.

"Hopefully he'll be all right, and it wasn't too serious."
