Everton manager David Moyes has quelled rumours of Egyptian striker Emad Meteb joining the club.

Some reports have stated that Meteb's agent has finalised a deal with the Toffees but Moyes is adamant he knows nothing of it.

"I don't know anything about it. I've never heard of him," he said in the Liverpool Daily Post.

"I might have seen him play, but the name doesn't mean anything to me."
