Everton boss David Moyes hopes to find a replacement for new Leicester City loan signing Yakubu Aiyegbeni.
Moyes revealed Yakubu, who has scored once in 15 appearances this season, was keen on the move to the Walkers Stadium.
He told evertonfc.com: "Yak was keen to go and get some games. We got a bit of a fee for him to go which might allow us to look into the market a little bit.
"I felt at the time we had to try and find a way of moving forward. We have not scored enough goals and we need to look for other solutions.
"We're in the market maybe for a loan replacement at the moment - that's all we'll be looking for."
