Everton boss David Moyes is eyeing a bid for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan.
The Daily Star Sunday says the Uruguayan striker, who spent two years at Manchester United, is desperate to return to the Premier League.
No one has yet reached for the chequebook to sign away Atletico's £31million asking price, much to Forlan's frustration.
Everton, though, would be happy to arrange a loan deal to grant Forlan his wish of a return to England.
Boss David Moyes said: "If he was interested I would give him a home here but I have said that the players we bring in will probably be on a loan basis."
