Everton boss David Moyes says he wants to re-sign LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan.
Moyes revealed that may not be in January because the player has suggested he is ready for a break from football after a long year which began with a successful loan spell on Merseyside.
Asked if he would be interested in a loan move for Donovan in January, Moyes told Friday's press conference: "We would be, we have said it every time I get asked.
"I get asked regularly about it but Landon has just finished his season. He's been on the go for nearly two years with the World Cup and coming here. What he needs is a break and after that he will decide what to do. There has been no contact."
