Everton boss Roberto Martinez says there's no way they'll sell James McCarthy.

Manchester United have been linked with the Republic of Ireland international during the summer, but Everton boss Martinez is adamant he is going nowhere.

"For me James McCarthy is one of the best midfielders in the league," said Martinez.

"I'm not surprised if people are being complimentary about him, but his future is clearly at Everton.

"He is an exciting player."
