Everton boss Roberto Martinez has revealed successful knee surgery for Darron Gibson.
The Toffees midfielder injured his cruciate ligament during the Republic of Ireland's recent World Cup qualifier against Kazhakstan last week having just returned to the Everton squad after recovering from a different injury.
Gibson is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines but Blues boss Martinez says his recent operation went well: "Darron Gibson has had his operation and we are now counting down the days."
