Everton are tracking FC Basel striker Breel Embolo.

The People says Toffees' manager Roberto Martinez made a personal check on the 18-year-old on Thursday as he netted in Basel's 2-0 win over Lech Poznan in the Europa League.

Cameroon-born Embolo made his Basel debut in February last year and since then has attracted the attention of a host of Premier League clubs.

Arsenal and Tottenham have both been linked with the player, who appeared as a substitute for the Swiss against England at Wembley last month.
