Everton boss Koeman: Maybe Rojo deserved red...

Ronald Koeman feels Marcos Rojo could have been sent off in Sunday's 1-1 draw between Everton and Manchester United.

The Argentine defender only received a yellow card for a two-footed challenge on Idrissa Gana Gueye early in the clash at Goodison Park.

Koeman said: "If the referee watches it back, maybe it would be a red card.

"There's always discussion about if it's yellow or red, is it a penalty or no penalty.

"They are difficult situations for the referee and I am not the one to make conclusions about that.

"It's a fair result because both teams did not deserve to lose the game."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a lovely lofted goal in the 42nd minute before a penalty from Marouane Fellaini on Gana allowed Leighton Baines to equalise in the 89th minute.
