Everton boss Ronald Koeman is delighted to be working with Leighton Baines.

The experienced left-back is set to make his 350th start for the Blues on Sunday as they welcome Chelsea to Goodison.

“He is still a big influence (in the squad)," Koeman said.

“In my opinion, he is one of the best players this season in the team.

“He is showing his experience, his cleverness on the ball, and in my opinion we talk too much about some players and less about some players and he is one of that.

“He really is one of the best left full-backs in the Premier League."

Asked how long he thinks Baines can keep playing at the top level for, Koeman said: “He is a really good professional, his fitness situation is really good, I think he can keep playing at least for the next two, maybe more."
