Everton boss Sean Dyche says Nathan Patterson deserves his chance at West Ham today.

Dyche has included the defender in his starting XI.

He said, "He is growing in his maturity in the Premier League and how he is figuring it out as a player. He has been steady for us and he has another chance to come in and be effective.

"When the whistle blows you have to play the group that is ahead of you.

"They are an experienced side with an experienced manager so we have to be ready."
