Everton boss Sean Dyche praised matchwinner Idrissa Gueye after victory at Crystal Palace.
Gueye jumped from the bench at halftime to score for the 3-2 win.
Dyche said of the 34 year-old: "He's a bright footballer, I don't have to give him too many messages, he knows how football works.
"We altered the shape slightly when they got more of a grip on the game in the second half but I must say I thought Palace were very good in the second half so I'm even more pleased with the result.
“The mentality for us to come through a soft second goal with a mix-up and then win the game. Idrissa is a rounded player, you don't have to give him too much, just the role that he's going to play."
