Everton boss Ancelotti remains hopeful signing Napoli midfielder Allan

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti remains hopeful of signing Napoli midfielder Allan.

Corriere Dello Sport says former Napoli manager Ancelotti is determined to reunite with Allan, and that a £22.5m deal is 'feasible'.

Allan has fallen out of favour at the Stadio San Paolo under Gennaro Gattuso after he replaced Ancelotti at the helm in December last year.

And it is widely believed that Allan could be moved on as Serie A outfit Napoli consider an overhaul in the summer window.

It had previously been reported that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants £36m for Allan - a fee Everton were never likely to stump up amid the coronavirus pandemic.

But it now appears that the Toffees won't have to pay that much, with it being reported that Everton can get their man for around £22.5m.
