Everton manager Rafa Benitez wants the club to go after Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
The former Liverpool boss, who is now in charge at their Merseyside rivals, believes an upgrade in central defence is key to the team becoming more progressive at the other end of the field.
According to 90Min, Benitez is ready to work with Koulibaly again, having signed the player for Napoli back in 2014.
The 30-year-old centre-back has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, but the Italian club have often priced him out of a transfer.
It remains to be seen whether the Toffees can convince the player or club to agree to a transfer.
