Everton assessing deal for Man Utd midfielder Van de Beek

Everton haven't dropped interest in Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

The Liverpool Echo says Everton are continuing to weigh up the merits of a January move for Van de Beek.

The United midfielder is likely to be available to leave Old Trafford on loan when the window opens in just over six weeks.

Everton made an enquiry late in the summer market over Van de Beek but were told United were not prepared to let him leave.

Yet the 24-year-old has continued to struggle for chances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this term, playing only five times, and a January move appears to be on the cards.

The Blues have placed Van de Beek on their list of potential targets for when the window opens but are busy gathering information about the Dutch international before deciding if to take their interest any further.
