Everton and Inter Milan are tracking Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
The pair are looking to exploit a £27million release clause in Pellegrini's Roma contract, says Calciomercato.com.
The midfielder had been in negotiations over extending his contract, which is due to expire in 2022, but talks have reached an impasse.
Pellegrini has made it clear to the club he wants to stay regardless of how that situation plays out but has asked for a substantial increase in wages which would see him earn £3.2m a season - £1.4m more than his is currently on.
The 23-year-old is also keen to remove his current release clause - which is set at a modest £27m.
