Everton ace Leighton Baines admits the first goal against Oldham Athletic could be decisive in their FA Cup tie.

The Toffees head to Boundary Park intent on avoiding the same type of FA Cup giantkilling which saw the Latics dump Liverpool out in the previous round.

"We saw what a tough game they gave to Liverpool in the last round," Baines told evertonfc.com. "We played them ourselves a few seasons back and they beat us, so we know what those cup ties are all about.

"It's just about getting through. Liverpool will have been aware of what they were in for as well."
