Former Celtic midfielder Marc Crosas believes that Scotland are likely to come up against Spain's second-string team on Tuesday in Alicante.
That may be good news for hopeful Scotland fans who are backing their boys to come through tomorrow's meeting with Liechtenstein with a win before tackling the World Champions for a chance to qualify for the 2012 European Championships.
But Crosas, a former Spain youth international, has made it clear that those second choice players Vicente Del Bosque has at his disposal are good enough to beat anyone.
"Spain have already qualified and some people say they'll play a weaker team," he told SunSport.
"I suppose it all depends on what you regard as weak. For me, it will be strong no matter who plays.
"David Villa is the first-choice striker, but he may be rested for the game in Alicante on Tuesday. Alvaro Negredo had been tipped to replace him, but he's injured, so (Fernando) Torres may get a chance.
"Vicente del Bosque may also take the chance to rest Andres Iniesta and Pedro.
"That might give an opportunity for (Juan) Mata and (David) Silva - but they are top, top players.
"It may not be good news for Scotland. They'd be determined to prove a point to the coach."
