Everton boss David Moyes is more concerned with a top six finish than winning cups. "What I've been saying for a while, that I think that the Premier League; finishing high up; getting a European competition is really important," he told Sky Sports.
"It would certainly be important for Everton. I don't know what other people have been saying, but for me it is. But then everyone wants to see you win a bit of silverware, because that's something to show for it.
"That's not something we've been able to do, but I've always thought that the sign of a good team is consistency in the league. Do you win your games? Where do you finish in the league season?
"You can have a draw in the Cup that gets you through quite easily, but it doesn't really show your true form or how you've done throughout the whole season.
"I think that getting a top-six finish is really important."
