Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is happy to call on veteran winger Matthew Etherington.

Etherington's deal expires in June.

"It's good to have a player of his experience back," said Hughes. "He's had a hamstring and his back has given him trouble, but we're managing that.

"Matty is an important member of the squad and he's got an opportunity now.

"He's kept working hard and things can change quickly to give you another opportunity."
