Espanyol are in talks with Real Madrid about a double raid in January.
El Chiringuito says Espanyol are focusing on a deal for Real striker Mariano Diaz as a priority.
However, they have also asked after Mariano's teammate Brahim Diaz, who like the striker has found himself frozen out this season.
A move away in January for both players would suit Real management, which encouraged the pair to leave on-loan last summer.
Brahim, who joined Real in January from Manchester City, has seen just 18 minutes of first team football this season.
