Espanyol are eager to keep hold of Manchester City attacker Yangel Herrera.

Herrera joined Espanyol on-loan this season after last term's successful spell with Granada.

Turkish transfer expert Ekrem Konur is reporting Espanyol want to keep the 24-year-old Venezuelan international next season.

Yangel, who joined injured, was unable to make his LaLiga debut in the blue and white shirt until matchday 10 of the championship. Since then he has taken part in 16 games, six of them complete, accumulating 1,086 minutes and one goal.

Espanyol want to extend his loan for another season.
