Espanyol coach Mauricio Pochettino is pleased with the progress of on-loan Manchester City winger Vladimir Weiss.

Weiss joined Espanyol from Manchester City in the summer and has only made three appearances coming off the bench as a substitute in the league.

"Something that is very important is that he is better able to communicate because that is something that can go against him," Pochettino told a press conference.

"It is important that he can speak to his team-mates on the field. When he is ready he will have even more chances.

"Hopefully this adaptation to the language, the physical side and the tactics will happen as soon as possible."
