Espanyol sports chief Paco Herrera is actively seeking a new striker signing.

Herrera has the green light from the board to sign a new forward after the injury setback suffered by talisman Raul Tamudo.

The Espanyol chief wants a loan signing and will seek a young, fast forward before the market shuts next week.
