Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson knows fans are keen to see Italian striker Rolando Bianchi on the field more.
Even so he remains popular with the supporters who chanted for him at Wigan when the Italian went on as a substitute for the final 12 minutes.
Eriksson is aware of the clamour to see more of the striker but will continue to pick the side based on form in training and not popularity.
"I heard the fans chanting for Rolando and it's good that they support him so we will see what happens," said the manager. "The situation is the same for him as it is for all the others if they do not show me how good they are on the training ground then how can I know if they are ready to face Spurs or not."
